PROCELL’S NEWLY FORMULATED GROWTH FACTOR SERUMS: WHAT THIS CHANGE MEANS FOR YOU AND YOUR CLIENTS

Procell has always been at the cutting edge of skincare. Our patented microchanneling device revolutionized traditional microneedling, and we’ve made another scientific breakthrough: a newly formulated serum featuring recombinant growth factors and DNA repair enzymes. Starting April 1st, 2025, Procell will exclusively produce and sell this advanced serum, ushering in a new era of skincare.

But what does this change mean for you?

Read on to learn how Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum will improve results for both our practitioners and their clients.

How Procell Uses Serums

You may already be familiar with the role of serums in the microchanneling treatment protocol. After the Procell device activates the body’s immune response, the microchannels become conduits for a nourishing, antiinflammatory serum that accelerates healing and improves the skin’s overall health. Procell’s serums include many key ingredients, including cytokines and peptides, but growth factors are one of the most important. These proteins play a critical role in the body’s immune system, allowing for rapid healing and cellular turnover. Previously, Procell’s serums used growth factors derived from mesenchymal stem cells in bone marrow. However, our team, guided by our founder Dr. Schwartz, has found a next-generation solution that improves patient outcomes: recombinant growth factors

Enhancing Skincare with Recombinant Growth Factors

Recombinant growth factors are lab-produced proteins that present a more effective and consistent alternative to human growth factors derived from mesenchymal stem cells.

Using CRISPR sequencing technology, scientists can create microbiological cultures that generate proteins identical to those found in the human body: recombinant growth factors. These microbiological cultures allow scientists to produce growth factors with greater levels of precision and sustainability than traditional methods. Because recombinant growth factors do not use human or animal tissue, they produce a more precise, higher concentrated and more powerful serum— without the production of unnecessary inflammatory growth factors to filter out.  Recombinant growth factors have a long history of aesthetic and medical usage, from hyaluronic acid to insulin, and now Procell is incorporating them into our new serum formula.

With Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum, our microchanneling treatments will produce even more impressive results. The serum’s increased purity and strength means that your skin will get more of the nourishment it needs. And you can have peace of mind knowing that the growth factors were fully produced with the highest level of sustainability!

Fighting Sun Damage with DNA Repair Enzymes

Recombinant growth factors aren’t the only change that Procell has made to our new serum formula. We have also introduced DNA repair enzymes to address one of the most prevalent daily skincare issues: sun damage. Even when you don’t get sunburned, your skin can still experience the negative effects of UV exposure. Sun damage can cause unsightly wrinkles and dark “sun spots” and accelerate the skin aging process. Sunscreen is a powerful preventative tool, but it can’t reverse the effects of sun damage.

Thankfully, DNA repair enzymes can help!

DNA repair enzymes are proteins that repair cellular damage. They can reverse the DNA mutations that occur as a result of UV exposure, such as melanocytes that produce too much melanin and, in turn, create dark spots. DNA repair enzymes have been widely used in biotechnology and previously in dermatology with anti-cancer therapies and sun protection. Now, Procell is making this technology accessible to aestheticians and their clients.

Procell’s new serum incorporates DNA repair enzymes that are specifically selected to combat sun damage:

  • Ultrasomes collected from naturally occurring bacteria on human skin that assist with DNA repair

  • Photosomes extracted from plankton that have evolved to deal with high levels of UV exposure

  • Roxisomes derived from sun-resistant plants to combat both photoaging and skin oxidation

That means that the new DNA repair enzymes in Procell’s serum don’t just offer next-level protection from sun damage; they can literally reverse it!

Our New Growth Factor Serums Get Even Better Results

If you and your clients already enjoy Procell microchanneling, our new serum will make our treatments even better–and we have the science to prove it!

Dr. Schwartz conducted double-blind, split-face studies at three clinical sites before deciding to launch this refined formula.

The updated Procell treatment protocol will still look and feel the same for your clients, but you should tell them about the benefits of our new serum! Thanks to recombinant growth factors and DNA repair enzymes, our next-generation serum gives your clients:

  • Higher quality, more consistent results

  • Increased purity and potency

  • Advanced protection and anti-ageing capabilities

  • Enhanced skin health and appearance

  • Damage reversal on the DNA level

  • More ethical and sustainable treatment options

Procell is committed to pushing skincare forward. We revolutionised the industry with our microchanneling device in 2013, and our new recombinant growth factor serum is the next step in innovation.
