Cellular Renewal Serum & Healing Accelerator Serum (5ml Bottles)

The ProCell Skin Care System is a complete, well-rounded, and comprehensive portfolio of ingredients that the skin requires and can utilize to maintain its ability to repair protect and defend the skin from everything that ages us. It is a simple to use, two-step, Serum and Accelerator combo that contains both water soluble actives and lipid soluble actives. Simplicity is what drives compliance, and compliance is what leads to beautiful, amazing, healthy results in skincare.

Whilst Procell’s Skin Care system is recommended to be used in conjunction with professional Microchanneling treatments it can also be used on an ongoing basis without having treatments as it is clinically proven to enhance skin appearance (texture, tone and elasticity) and provide protection against ongoing deleterious effects of aging.

Serum

The first step in the Procell Skin Care System is our Serum. Our Serum is a powerful, concentrated dose of water-soluble actives that flood the skin with the most anti-inflammatory and regenerative ingredients to prime the skin– optimizing the skin's ability to heal, regenerate, and produce quality types of collagen.

Growth Factors

The first ingredient key ingredient found in the Serum are recombinant (bioengineered) Growth Factors which are lab-produced proteins that present a more  effective and consistent alternative to human or animal tissue as they produce a more precise, higher concentrated and more powerful serum— without the production of unnecessary inflammatory growth factors to filter out.

The body has an abundance of these growth factors in its youth, which is why it heals so well in its younger years. As the body ages, however, the amount of growth factors circulating the body declines which causes the body to heal less effectively. When these powerful protein molecules are applied topically, they instruct those skin cells to look and behave like they did in younger years. This process is anti-aging at its finest.

Niacinamide

Our next ingredient found in the Serum is Niacinamide– otherwise known as Vitamin B3. Niacinamide is an extremely powerful coenzyme that is involved in hundreds of biological pathways within the body. Its first activity is to increase the production of free fatty acids (otherwise known as Ceramides) within the skins barrier. These Ceramides are lipid molecules that help to protect the skin's top layer from water being released, ultimately dehydrating the skin. Free fatty acid production, including Ceramides, will keep the skin soft and supple.

An additional benefit caused by Niacinamide is the increase in protein synthesis or collagen it produces. Niacinamide has a unique ability to be involved in collagen production, allowing the skin to produce healthy, quality strands of collagen.

Finally, Niacinamide has the ability to reduce unwanted pigment in the skin by reducing the amount of melanin (the pigment granule found within the skin), from the cell that produces it (the melanocytes), to all the neighboring cells that presented at the surface of the skin, (the keratinocytes). Niacinamide has a wealth of benefits, and is found at a high, therapeutic dose in the Serum.

Carnosine

The next ingredient in the Serum is Carnosine. Carnosine is a unique botanical that has the ability to reduce anti-glycation end products. This is a body's ability for glucose or sugar molecules to attach to proteins, or in the case of skin, collagen molecules, allowing them to oxidize. This oxidation ultimately leads to lines and wrinkles. While Carnosine has the ability to reduce oxidation leading to a healthier environment within the skin, it also has a powerful antioxidant potential.

Swertia Chirata

Extracted from the leaves of an annual herb that is native to India, Swertia Chirata, uses the latest in stem cell technology to not only support the regeneration of skin cells, but also to help thicken and strengthen the epidermis for younger looking skin.

As we age, the production of keratinocytes, the skin cells that produce keratin as well as form a protective barrier against environmental toxins, slows, resulting in thinner, more fragile skin that’s less resistant to free radicals and more likely to show fine lines and wrinkles.

Swertia chirata – inspired by the latest technology in skin tissue research used to treat burn injuries - supports skin tone and texture by helping support the skin’s ability to manage the loss of keratinocytes while boosting production of additional keratinocytes, resulting in a thicker, stronger epidermis.

Regenerated skin cells result in surface skin that is less fragile and delicate, less likely to wrinkle and better able to manage free radicals, which damage skin cells and trigger wrinkles, dark spots and other signs of aging.

In clinical trials, Swertia chirata helped reduce the look of vertical wrinkles around the lips and reduced lipstick migration – which occurs when lipstick bleeds into fine lines surrounding the mouth.

Simmondsia Chinensis

Simmondsia chinensis, commonly known as Jojoba seed oil, is a valuable ingredient in skincare. It's a rich source of fatty acids and antioxidants, and its unique structure closely resembles human sebum, making it a highly effective moisturizer and emollient. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn't clog pores, and is suitable for all skin types, especially dry and sensitive skin.

Xylityl Sesquicaprylate

Xylityl Sesquicaprylate is a fascinating ingredient derived from the combination of xylitol and caprylic acid. Xylitol, a sugar alcohol found in many fruits and vegetables, is commonly used as a sweetener. Caprylic acid, on the other hand, is a fatty acid derived from coconut oil and palm kernel oil. The history of Xylityl Sesquicaprylate in skincare is relatively recent, as the demand for multifunctional and naturally-derived ingredients has grown.

Xylityl Sesquicaprylate has antimicrobial properties, which means it helps to inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It also acts as a humectant, drawing water into the skin and helping to keep it hydrated and helps to improve the appearance and feel of the skin making it softer, smoother, and more supple.

Xylityl Sesquicaprylate also has cleansing properties, which means it helps to remove dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin ensuring that your skin is thoroughly cleaned without being stripped of its natural oils.

Accelerator

The second step in the Procell skincare system is the Accelerator– a lipid soluble form of active ingredients that acts as a compliment and a synergistic topical to our serum. The Accelerator helps to provide a well-rounded approach to skin health, and it contains a high dose of lipid soluble antioxidants housed in a base of ceramides and phospholipids.

Ceramides & Phospholipids

The first ingredient pair found in the Accelerator are Ceramides and Phospholipids. These ingredients allow the lipid soluble antioxidants to solubilize (or be stored) within the Accelerator. Phospholipids are fatty acids that the skin barrier requires to maintain robust hydration. A  well-rounded portfolio of Ceramides and Phospholipids can be found at a high dose within the Accelerator.

Growth Factors

The next ingredient found in the Accelerator are recombinant Growth Factors as found in the Serum. They are in the accelerator as well. They're in a lower dosage, but just enough to make it a well-rounded synergistic system.

Retinol (Vitamin A)

Retinol is a time-honoured ingredient that offers numerous benefits for the skin, including reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture, and potentially treating acne and hyperpigmentation. It works by stimulating cell turnover and collagen production, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving the skin a fresher, plump appearance.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C)

The Procell skincare system contains a powerful form of vitamin C in our skin care system known as Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. More than a big word, it has the ability to truly penetrate the skin. Vitamin C is a mandatory ingredient to collagen or protein synthesis. Without vitamin C, healthy strands of collagen do not get produced.

Most of the forms of vitamin C we see in skincare have an inability to penetrate the skin, and also cause a significant amount of irritation. Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is a lipid soluble form of vitamin C, which means it can actually penetrate those top layers of the skin and enter into the layers where they can be truly beneficial by increasing the right types of proteins– without any of the irritation.

Tocopheryl (Vitamin E)

Tocopheryl is another lipid-soluble version of a well-researched antioxidant. This is the most dominant antioxidant found within the skin barrier, and replenishing lost vitamin E can actually increase the skin surfaces' ability to protect from environmental and UV assault.

Panthenol (Vitamin B5)

Panthenol, or vitamin B5, is another powerful vitamin for the health of the skin. In particular, Panthenol has the ability to increase moisture and hydration levels within the skin while simultanteously stimulating the production of additional protein or collagen.

Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil

Grape Seed extract is another well researched and proven antioxidant that can help protect the skin from further UV damage, but also has the ability to protect healthy collagen levels in the skin from being attacked by those same UV rays and free radicals.

Pheliodendron Amurense Bark Extract

Phellodendron amurense bark extract, also known as Amur cork tree bark extract helps to soothe and calm irritated or sensitive skin, reducing redness and inflammation. It also provides antioxidant protection against free radicals, which can lead to skin damage and aging. It can also promote collagen generation, which helps to reduce wrinkles and improve skin elasticity, contributing to its anti-aging properties. The extract aids in skin repairing and conditioning, helping to restore the skin's natural barrier. It has also been explored for its potential to address periorbital concerns.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)

Butyrospermum Parkii, also known as shea butter, is a natural emollient derived from the shea tree nut. Shea butter is rich in fatty acids and vitamins, including stearic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid, contributing to its moisturizing and protective effects. It may also promote the healing of wounds and reduce the visibility of scars and stretch marks.

DNA Repair Enzymes

DNA repair enzymes have been introduced into the Accelerator to address one of the most prevalent daily skincare issues: sun damage. Even when you don’t get sunburned, your skin can still experience the negative effects of UV exposure. Sun damage can cause unsightly wrinkles and dark “sun spots” and accelerate the skin aging process. Sunscreen is a powerful preventative tool, but it can’t reverse the effects of sun damage.

Thankfully, DNA repair enzymes can help! DNA repair enzymes are proteins that repair cellular damage. They can reverse the DNA mutations that occur as a result of UV exposure, such as melanocytes that produce too much melanin and, in turn, create dark spots. DNA repair enzymes have been widely used in biotechnology and previously in dermatology with anti-cancer therapies and sun protection. Now, Procell is making this technology accessible.

Procell’s new serum incorporates DNA repair enzymes that are specifically  selected to combat sun damage:

Ultrasomes which are endonuclease enzymes from micrococcus luteus, a naturally occurring bacterium on human skin that assists with DNA repair.

Photosomes (Photolyase) are extracted from plankton that have evolved to deal with high levels of UV exposure and activated by Blue Light to repair induced DNA Damage, specifically pyrimidine dimers. Phostosomes also reduce the risk of skin cancers and allows the body to process and restore DNA integrity.

Roxisomes found in the sun-resistant plant Arabidopsis Thaliana native to Eurasia and Africa to combat both photoaging and skin oxidation.

This means that the new DNA repair enzymes in Procell’s serum don’t just offer next-level protection from sun damage; they can literally reverse it.

The Procell Skincare System (Serum and Accelerator duo) provides a well-rounded portfolio of ingredients that the skin requires. This simple to use system provides a solution that mitigates the need for adding any other active ingredients into the skincare routine, but gives the skin all possible benefits– from increase in hydration, reduction of inflammation and scarring, increasing collagen synthesis (reducing lines and wrinkles), firmness and tightness of the skin, supporting the skins ability to protect and defend from the environment, and acting as a powerful antioxidant. All of these benefits supercharged by Recombinant Growth Factors and DNA repair enzymes truly creates a product portfolio that provides unparalleled aesthetic results.

Pregnant or nursing women can continue to use the Step 1 Serum during this period and then resume using Step 2 Accelerator post birth or upon completion of breastfeeding.
